2007 16.1 Bay Gelding

Jordie was foaled on February 17, 2007 in California. He was adopted by Jenny Whitman as an unraced two year old off the track and was used primarily for trail riding.  His talent for jumping was discovered in the summer of 2011 when he received 30 days of professional training by Teralyn Burke.  Jordie shone on the cross country course and Teralyn felt that he would be an excellent Three Day prospect. After training Jordie's owner continued to use him as a trail horse.  In order to sponsor more OTTBs Jordie's owner placed him for adoption through Neigh Savors, a 501 (3) (c) California Thoroughbred rescue organzation.  Jordie came to SunFire on March 1, 2012.

March 24, 2012:   Jordie has been with us for about three weeks now. In that time he has shown us what a dependable guy he is undersaddle.  During each ride he has been completely levelheaded and has taken good care of his rider.  We are currently using him in our lesson program and he has been fun for our more advanced riders to jump and has also packed around beginners like a gentleman.  We are very happy to have found Jordie and we are excited to see what his future holds!    

June 21, 2012: We just took Jordie cross country schooling for the first time. He loved it! He was very calm and totally bold to the fences!  This guy is going to make a great 3-Day horse! Enjoy the pictures of Jordie and SunFire student Layla schooling at Jack Rabbit Flats!

December 2012: Jordie is out on a care lease to Khris, owner of Jack Rabbit Flats.
