Capital Cat
"Bently"
Cat Dreams/Queenofluv
2006 16.2 Dark Bay Gelding
Capital Cat was foaled on March 16, 2006 in California. He had 39 starts and 3 wins before retiring due to injuries to both front fetlocks. His trainer at the track, Reina Gonzalez, felt that Capital Cat was a very special horse and wanted to ensure that he had a good future despite his injuries. After extensive campaigning Reina was able to give Capital Cat to Alana in early 2011. We named him Bently.

A few months after arriving at SunFire Bently was sponsored by author Gina Spadafori. She quickly fell in love with his funny personality and gentle demeanor and officially adopted him in the fall of 2011, renaming him Haggin.

Haggin and Gina Christmas 2011

Gina had Haggin examined by Dr. Linda Harrison at Willow Oak Equine Clinic to assess the extent of his injuries. After a lameness work-up and radiographs Haggin was cleared for light work on the flat.

Haggin is currently in light training at SunFire Equestrian before he moves to Gina's new horse property in West Sacramento, CA.

We are very grateful to all the people who loved Capital Cat and worked very hard to give him a future after the track.
